Surftec formed on the 23rd August 1999 specialises in Thin-Client and Internet technologies as well as being able to supply a wide range of associated software and hardware items to form a complete solution to a schools requirements.

Our background working initially with RISC OS, then with UNIX, Windows and Mac OS systems gives us a good understanding in the basic computing concepts, we are not simply tied to one system, our advice is based on real useage, rather than what has been sold to us.

We take time to locate suppliers, and to choose the products we promote and sell. We refuse to become affliated solely with one company, if a supplier does not meet our standards we will quickly identify this and remove their products from our portfolio.

We work co-operatively with other like minded suppliers around the UK, this allows us to extend our product portfolio without stretching our ability to specialise in everything we do. Surftec for instance specialises in Microsoft licensing, whereas our relationship with Precedence Technologies provides us with expertise in Citrix products.

We are very proud of our ability to support the products we supply in a timely manner. Our systems can be remotely managed allowing us to deal with all software issues whilst our school customer is on the phone. Our customers no longer have to wait for an engineer to make an on-site appointment, support is instant. The support engineers on the phone are the developers and installers of our products, we don't operate a call center filled with low paid, low knowledge support staff. Using the technologies we supply to schools - support e-mails are copied to all our engineers via various e-mailing lists, the first available person will then reply, usually e-mails are answered within the hour, often a reply is sent within minutes.
